COVID-19 - Food Security and Emergency Food Distribution in Haliburton County
Members of Haliburton County FoodNet are meeting regularly by teleconference to share information, best practices and support around emergency food distribution as issues of food availability and security may become heightened in response to COVID-19.

All food banks are open and operating to assist anyone who is in need of emergency food - you do not need to be an existing client to access food. Prepacked boxes of food are being made up and placed outside the door for people to pick-up to minimize contact between people.
  • Please note that food programs that involve social gathering such as community suppers, the Diner's Club and Lunch is on Us, have been temporarily cancelled due to the pandemic.
