The Apple Sauce Project

It’s almost that time of year again when the apples are ripe and falling from the trees - perfect for apple sauce!

The Apple Sauce Project is a community initiative that uses apples from local trees that often rot or are eaten by animals and turns them into apple sauce to provide servings of fruit to seniors and families in need. The Apple Sauce Project is a great example of ensuring everyone in our community has access to fresh, local and nutritious food.

Get involved by donating, picking or cooking apples! Contact Kate the Health Unit for more information at 1866-888-4577 ext. 3246.
