What You Can Do to Help
Donate funds to a local food program that have healthy eating guidelines or philosophy - before donating ask them if they provide healthy food and if they support change to the food system, instead of just providing handouts.
Volunteer at one of the many food programs in our county click here for list programs
If you have experience with food policy change, contact FoodNet to get involved
Write to your local, provincial and federal government representatives to help take steps to address local poverty. Go to www.rethinkpoverty.ca or http://dothemath.thestop.org/
